This Embedded Controller Program Utility updates the embedded controller program (H8 controller firmware) stored in the ThinkPad system to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.

(Fix) Fix for battery information query processing.
(Fix) CPU fan state may not be correctly initialized.
(Fix) Adjustment for CPU thermal sensor error may not work.
(New) Support "ThinkPad NumLock" control.

Note: "ThinkPad NumLock" menu item is available in the BIOS Setup Utility only when the BIOS is also updated to version 2.01 (75ET55WW) or later.
