Kremlin Encrypt builds a digital wall around your data, protecting your information.

Kremlin is the perfect tool to keep your little sister out of your private files or protecting your free speech from Big Brother. Not only does Kremlin feature secure encryption with such algorithms as DES, IDEA, and Blowfish, Kremlin helps to erase all traces of your sensitive data from your computer.

Kremlin is a drag-and-drop program. To use it, just drag the files or directories you wish to encrypt onto the Kremlin icon. After you enter in a passphrase to protect your files, Kremlin will encrypt them and will even preserve any sort of directory structure.

You may also right-click on a file or directory and then choose Kremlin Encrypt.

When it is done encrypting, Kremlin will produce a .kgb file in the directory from which the files were dragged. To decrypt the files, double-click on the .kgb file, type in your passphrase and hit Ok.

To securely delete a file or directory, drag it to the Kremlin Secure Recycle Bin or right-click and choose Kremlin Secure Delete. Use this feature with caution: securely deleting a file will permanently and irrevocably remove it from your hard drive.

Note: Some antivirus and antispyware programs flag Kremlin Encrypt as being infected/malware, although the application is perfectly safe and does not pose a threat to your system. This is called a 'false positive'. The term false positive is used when antivirus software wrongly classifies an innocuous ( inoffensive ) file as a virus. The incorrect detection may be due to heuristics or to an incorrect virus signature in a database. [Similar problems can occur with antitrojan or antispyware software.]
