While being similar to the regular Windows Explorer, this program offers more features and functionality

Windows File Explorer is a file manager for Windows similar to Windows Explorer. But Windows File Explorer uses a different approach: it features many options that Microsoft's Windows Explorer is missing like image preview and it has two fixed file views side by side (but can be change to a single file view) that is useful when copying many files from folder to folder.

The main user interface is very simple and designed for ease of use. At the top of the window is the menu and toolbar. The toolbar features commonly used functions for quick access. Below the toolbar is a drive selection popup and a set of buttons for changing the folder view options. Below that are three frames, making up the main part of the interface where you can do your work

Here are some key features of "Windows File Explorer":

· Supports Microsoft's Windows Explorer context menu
· Supports Thumbnail views of images
· Supports Drag & Drop with the mouse
· ZIP Archives are handled like subdirectories. (if supported by OS)
· Built in image file viewer (supports bmp, jpeg, png, gif, tiff, pcx, pbm, pgm, ppm, tga, dib, rle, wmf, emf, icons and cursors
· Unzip (if supported by OS)

Windows File Explorer is supported by Windows 2000, Windows 2003 32-bit, Windows 9x, Windows NT 4.0, Windows Vista 32-bit, Windows XP 32-bit.

· Fixed: Correctly display files that has no extensions.
· Fixed: Preview of some tiff-files (note, that only the first page is displayed).
· Added: New menu and toolbar (you will soon be able to customize both the toolbar and menus).
· Added: Option to print folder items (Files and folders).
· Added: Option to create new folder by right-click in the Explorer view.
· Added: Option to enable/disable filter with an click on a button.
· Added: Option to view/print rtf & txt files (this will be improved in future versions).
Added: shortcuts:
· CTRL+B = back
· CTRL+F = forward
· CTRL+U = up
· CTRL+N = sort by name
· CTRL+T = sort by type
· CTRL+S = sort by size
· CTRL+P = Print folder
These are old working shorcuts, but ere never displayed in the menu:
· CTRL+x = cut
· CTRL+c = copy
· CTRL+v = paste
· CTRL+a = select all
· F5 = Refresh
