Lots of People have been asking, "Is Twitter making an app made especially for Windows 8?" The answer is, "Yes", but it may be a while before we get it.
Twitter's Mobile account confirmed today that it will indeed be making an app for Microsoft's new OS but hinted that it may not be released for several months.
During the BUILD 2012 conference keynote, Microsoft also mentioned several other companies developing apps for Windows 8; these included enterprise solutions provider SAP and cloud specialist Dropbox.
The new ESPN app was demoed in a video during the keynote and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer also said that People magazine will release a Windows 8 app next week. No mention was made about a native Facebook app for Windows 8, which is odd since Microsoft was an early investor in Facebook.
