Need for Speed World is a freeware game from the top series Need for Speed that has been released by Electronic Arts since the year 1995. This time you can compete online with other real players from all over the world.
In this game you turn into one of car racers who compete in street races in a big metropoly. Your task is to earn money and gain better reputation while climbing up the ladder of the racing world, buying new cars and accessories. This game offers five different modes of game, these are:
- Circuit - a standard competition
- Sprint - a fast race from A to B
- Drag - a race similar to quarter mile races (or "traffic to traffic")
- Team escape - players are teamed up and they have to reach certain destination and get rid of police cars in a certain period of time
- Pursuit and escape - you have to escape the police
Of course, in Need for Speed World you can pimp up your car. With money you earn you can buy improvements to your engine, or some visual modifications such as stickers, bumpers or highlights. While you are exploring the city you can contact other players and ask them to take part in a duel. The game is absolutely free; however, due to the system of microtransactions you can buy some interesting elements, such as garage place.
