mIRC is a fully featured Internet Relay Chat (IRC) program for Windows designed to allow users to communicate, share, play or work with people from all over the world, both in multi-user group conferences or in one-to-one private discussions. The portable support has been improved too as has the editbox that no longer beeps when the maximum message length is reached. It also offers multiserver support, full color control, buddy lists, file transfers, IPv6, SSL encryption, proxy support, UTF-8 display, UPnP and other changes and bug fixes.
mIRC packs all the functions within friendly and intuitive interface so all options can be accessed with easy by both professionals and less experienced users. When it comes to installation, all you need to do is define a nickname, enter an e-mail and select the server you prefer. It is worth mentioning the fact that the installation wizard allows you to configure many options such as automatic updates, backups, and the function that lets the program run as a portable application from a USB drive.
