While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is scheduled to appear on November 8, it seems that some gamers are already enjoying a leaked version of it, as a new report says that one of the game's two discs has been stolen from a warehouse in California and is already being multiplied by pirates. Another major Call of Duty release, another piracy scandal, as VentureBeat reports that the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 is already out in the wild and enjoyed by many video game pirates. This is possible because a warehouse worker in Fresno, California, has reportedly stolen the second disk of Modern Warfare 3, or perhaps even the full PC copy, and leaked it on the web for pirates to download, burn onto discs and play it illegally. This is similar to the scandal that plagued Black Ops last year, when another early copy of the game was leaked on the web before its release. Activision, just like last time, has already begun hunting down pirates that are using this leaked Modern Warfare 3 copy, as investigators are now knocking on doors and tracking down everyone who's been using it. No word yet on if this leak covers just the PC version or extends to console editions like for the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, which do have a habit of appearing a few days or even weeks before the release of full pledged games. As of yet, Activision has yet to release a statement about this leak, but already some pirates are complaining that investigators from the company arrived at their homes, asked them to delete and destroy the pirated copies or be subjected to the $5,000 fine. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is by far one of the most anticipated releases of the year, so it's safe to say that Activision won't be taking any chances and is going to hunt down everyone caught using pirated copies. The game will be out officially on the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii on November 8.
