Crysis 2 has just received its multiplayer demo on the PC platform, after previously being exclusive on the Xbox 360 console. Crytek is getting ready to launch Crysis 2 at the end of the month, but, in order to hype it up, it's been rolling out multiplayer demos for the game. We already saw one launched onto the Xbox 360 console last month, and, even if it had a few problems that were eventually patched, it was still mighty impressive. Now, in an effort to show PC gamers that it still cares about the platform, Crytek has launched the multiplayer demo for the PC. "The time has come for PC and Xbox 360 gamers to take their best shot in Crysis 2 multiplayer. Now available for download, the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo includes two stunning maps, two adrenaline-filled modes, and hours of multiplayer action. In the demo, PC and Xbox 360 gamers will master the game’s signature Nanosuit, which allows them to be strong, be invisible, be fast and become the ultimate weapon," revealed Electronic Arts, the game's publisher. The multiplayer demo on the PC, like the one on the Xbox 360, will allow players to compete in six versus six matches, set in a war-torn Manhattan. Two maps are available for play, Skyline, which is set on top of rooftops and inside skyscrapers, and Pier 17, an open environment with limited cover that keeps players on their toes. Two modes are included in the Crysis 2 multiplayer PC demo, Team Instant Action, which is basically a team deathmatch in which two groups hunt each other all over the map, and Crash Site, where teams will have to control various alien drop pods and defend them against their enemies. The multiplayer demo for Crysis 2 will allow players to equip the new version of the franchise's signature Nanosuit, with upgraded abilities, as well as some of the new weapons that will appear in the upcoming game. Crysis 2 will be released onto the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 22, in North America, and March 25, in Europe.
