A number of leaked posters for Grand Theft Auto V show that the new title from developer Rockstar and publisher Take Two will be launched during the spring of 2013 on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 from Sony. The images were unearthed by the fan forum called GTA-Five.pl and show a pre-order now text and the clear mention of Spring 2013. The only formats listed on the posters are the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. There’s always the possibility that more promotional materials exist that also mention other hardware platforms, like the PC or the new Wii U from Nintendo, and that they simply are not part of the current leak. The promotional materials shown might also be outdated and there’s a possibility that, since they were created, either the developer or the publisher has changed the launch date for the game. Rockstar has not yet reacted officially to the leak but will probably use the corporate line that it does not comment on rumors and on speculation. Grand Theft Auto V has been officially announced late during 2011 and since then fans have been eagerly awaiting more information from the development team. The game will take place in the city of Los Santos, in the state of San Andreas, which are based on Los Angeles and California. The theme of the new game in the series is the power of money and “the pursuit of the almighty dollar” as the original promotional materials from Rockstar state. The game will continue to use an open-world structure and will allow players to pursue a core narrative while also exploring the city and doing side activities. Rockstar recently revealed that the multiplayer of the game will be built around the same crew structure as that of Max Payne 3.
