Video game publisher Activision Blizzard has been very tight lipped about the Call of Duty title it plans to launch during the fall of this year, but it's media strategy has been undone by a massive leak of information about the game apparently coming from more than one man inside developer Infinity Ward. The information is pretty detailed, including a huge number of story details linked to the single player portion of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and the names of the game modes and of the maps that will be made available in multiplayer. Activision Blizzard has reacted to the news by offering the normal line that they will not be commenting on rumors and speculation. They also put out four teaser trailers that can be downloaded from Softpedia, named America, England, Germany and France. Robert Bowling, who is the creative strategist working on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 at Infinity Ward, has posted on Twitter that, “A lot of hype & a lot of leaked info on #MW3, some still accurate, some not. To avoid spoiling the experience, I'd wait for the real reveal.” He then added, “Wasn't planned, but you're clearly hyped, so here is the 1st of many Modern Warfare 3 videos coming in hot today!” A number of fans of the series have speculated that the Infinity Ward team working on Modern Warfare 3 leaked the information about the game because they were eager to show the gaming world what they were working on and did not agree with the decision of publisher Activision Blizzard to wait until the E3 trade show for the official announcement. The rumors did not include a list of the platforms that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be launched but expect the game to arrive on home gaming consoles, the PC and handhelds on November 8 of this year.
