After releasing a beta Windows 8 driver for their graphics cards at the end of August, NVIDIA is now offering a WHQL-certified driver for Windows 8. The GeForce 306.23 driver, released today, is the first WHQL-certified driver from NVIDIA that combines support for Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows Vista. Specific features new to this driver release include support for NVIDIA's new GeForce GTX 660, GTX 660 Ti and GTX 650 graphics cards, as well as support for NVIDIA's new TXAA anti-aliasing technique supported only on 600-series GPUs and select games. Plus, as you might expect, there are a number of performance improvements made across a range of GPUs and games. AMD released non-beta Windows 8-supporting graphics card drivers shortly after the RTM launch of Windows 8, but NVIDIA has taken some time to get around to releasing theirs. If you hit up the source link, you can download the GeForce 306.23 driver and start using a WHQL-certified driver on Windows 8.
