Today at its special event Apple has announced a 13-inch version of its MacBook Pro with Retina Display. Like the 15-inch model, the device comes with a redesigned slimmer chassis that is 20 percent thinner than the previous model. The standout feature of the device is of course the display, which has a 2560 x 1600 resolution with a 178-degree viewing angle and 75 percent reduction in reflection. The new model also comes with two Thunderbolt ports, two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, SD card slot, and a MagSafe 2 power connector. Internally the model won't offer discrete graphics cards, only offering an Intel Ivy Bridge processor with integrated 4000 graphics and it also dumps optical media. The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display will ship today starting at $1699 and will ship with a 2.5GHz dual-core i5 processor, 128GB SSD, and 8GB of RAM.
