Escape From Tarkov: Fix “There is no game with name ‘eft’” Error

Escape From Tarkov: Fix “There is no game with name ‘eft’” Error

This is a really common issue with Escape from Tarkov and usually happens after people have been trying to cheat or mod the game. Essentially, BSG (Battlestate Games Launcher) gets confused where the files it needs to launch the game are. As a result it throws up this random error message. The only good thing about this is that it should be a quick and easy fix for most people.

Run the Launcher as Administrator

Before changing settings, this is a quick fix you can try.

• Close Escape from Tarkov and the BSG Launcher completely
• Open Task Manager and end any remaining launcher processes
• Navigate to the BSG Launcher installation folder
• Right click BsgLauncher.exe
• Select Run as administrator
• Log in and try launching the game.

Try Using the Game Executable Inside the Installation Folder

You can also test whether the installation itself works.

• Just go to the location you installed the game and launch it from the .exe file.
• Below are the usual places you can find the files you need if you installed the game in the default location.

Right click EscapeFromTarkov.exe and select Run as administrator.

Re Select the Game Install Location
