They may not be so young but they are still creative and open to the new ideas. After two decades in the traditional console market, the team has changed their focus onto the thriving smartphone and tablets market. Flippin Pixels admit that though it may sound trivial, they in fact embraced the change.

Flippin Pixels' software director, James Ackroyd says that recently their work at Rare studio was not stimulating anymore, it felt rather like a factory job. Moving onto another background makes the team face new challenges, and they are more than eager to take them.

Comparing Android market to a lottery, Ackroyd underlines what he finds most compelling about the team's new tasks: “The nature of the mobile market is so fast moving you can't afford to stay on something for months. You need to get it out while it's still fresh.”

And who are the other players on the team? Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you Steven Hurst (art director), Shaun Read (design director), Gary Richards (technical director) and Steve Brand (studio director). They are all already working on some projects and proudly boast that their game mechanics are going to be second to none.

Since switching from console to mobile may be a tricky and narrow path, nothing remains but to wish them good luck.
