How to Fix ‘This action is only valid for products that are currently installed’ When Trying to Install Microsoft Office.

Spotify is by far the most popular music streaming service on the Internet and surprisingly also one of the cheapest. Especially if you are sharing an account with friends or family. As well as being super user-friendly and available on most operating systems, it’s also possible to use straight from an Internet browser or app.

If you are using the latter, an app, you’ve probably noticed that ads are quite frequent and usually louder than actual music content. Thankfully, if you are using the app available for Windows 10, it is possible to completely block all ads in Spotify, including banner ads and audio ads. Before you get too excited though, the solutions shown below only apply to the standard Spotify download, not the Spotify download available via the Microsoft Store.

Block Ads in the Spotify App Method 2.

If the above method doesn’t work for you (and that’s quite possible), this method certainly will. The only catch is that you must remain on a specific version of Spotify but we’ll get to that in a moment as there are two different methods available. All of the downloads below are straight from Github.

Easy Installation:

Download and run install.bat. You don't need to download any other file. It's a batch file with the mod embedded at the end. This method will downgrade you to the correct version of Spotify if you are using the latest release.

Manual Installation:

If you don’t want to use the above method, you can Download and paste the netutils.dll inside the Spotify installation folder. The default Spotify installation location can be found by copy and pasting the following into the File Explorer address bar and pressing Enter. %APPDATA%/Spotify.

If at some stage you wish to uninstall the block, you can simply delete the netutils.dll file from the directory: %APPDATA%/Spotify or uninstall and reinstall Spotify on your computer.
