How to Fix CapCut Templates Not Showing

If you are using CapCut and have noticed that some of the templates you like to use sometimes disappear, return empty search results, or display a much smaller library than expected. You might start to think the app is broken or that these templates have been removed. But template availability actually depends on the platform, account, region, and app version. How to Fix CapCut Templates Not Showing

The most important thing you need to understand from the get-go is that CapCut's template library is not identical on every device. The CapCut mobile app usually has the biggest template catalogue, including all the trending and TikTok-linked templates. So if you are looking for a specific template and can't find it on another platform, check the mobile app first.

• Open CapCut and look for the Templates tab on the home screen.
• If the template appears there but nowhere else, you've figured out that it's a platform-related issue rather than a problem with your account.

The web version of CapCut almost always has the fewest templates available. The desktop version ain't much better and doesn't always include the same community template feed or search functionality available on mobile.

• So if a template is available only on mobile, create or apply it there first, then sync the project to your desktop if necessary.

It's not the most user-friendly way of doing things, but it will work.

Check That You Are Signed Into the Right Account

CapCut sometimes treats Google, TikTok, Facebook, and email sign-ins as separate accounts, even when they use the same email address. This means that one device might show the full template library while another only shows a few. So sign out and sign back in using the same login method that you used to get the most templates. Try this for all of the platforms, the CapCut app, the web version and the mobile app.

Fix Empty Template Search Results in CapCut

A missing Templates tab and empty search results are two different but semi-related problems.

• If the Templates section loads but searches return nothing, try broader terms such as "travel," "vlog," "fashion," or "cinematic."
• Sometimes specific keywords produce limited results depending on the region or availability.

Update CapCut

If it has been a while since you updated CaptCut because you have automatic updates disabled, now is the time to check. If you're using an older version, you aren't going to be getting access to all the new stuff.

Clear Cache or Reinstall as a Last Resort

Reinstalling CapCut should be one of the final troubleshooting steps, not the first.

• If templates previously worked on the same device and account but suddenly stopped loading, clear the app cache. On Android, this can usually be found under Settings > Apps > CapCut > Storage.

Once you clear the data, you'll have to sign back in again. You will also lose any drafts or other stuff you've been working on in the app.

Reinstall the Application

This is a straightforward process. Just uninstall and reinstall the app again.
