There are a ton of different reasons you might be getting this error message but the most common theme seems to be a missing component on Windows operating systems that causes the game to crash constantly. Which is pretty funny considering the pirated version that was leaked early works flawlessly. Most of the time it will be missing Visual C++ files so we'll start with that solution first.

Repair or Install Visual C++ Redistributables

Most people would never suspect it but a lot of games need Microsoft Visual C++ 2015–2022 Redistributables to run properly. Without them the game will crashing showing an assortment of error messages, usually missing .dll files, however are plenty of others as well.

  • After you have installed all the files you will need to restart your computer. If you don't restart your computer the changes won't take effect.

Verify Game Files

Steam

  • Open your Steam Library, right-click Forza Horizon 6.
