How to Fix Forza Horizon 6 Not Installing on Xbox App or Microsoft Store PC

Before you start anything else, the first thing you need to do is update Windows. Since most Windows software gets updates via Windows updates, there's a good chance that this will solve the problem without any extra work.

• Open Settings.
• Go to Windows Update.
• Click Check for updates.
• Download and install all available updates.
• Restart your computer.
• After restarting, try installing the game again.

Install the Game from the Microsoft Store Library

Sometimes the Xbox app fails to install the game correctly, but the Microsoft Store can still complete the installation.

• Open Microsoft Store.
• Go to Downloads or Library.

• Open the Xbox app.
• Click your profile icon.
• Select Support.
• Open Gaming Services Repair Tool.
• Click Start Repairing.
• Once completed, restart your computer and test the installation again.

Check that you are signed in correctly

Using different Microsoft accounts in the Xbox app and Microsoft Store will cause this problem as well, so make sure that you are signed in to the same account in the Xbox App and the Microsoft Store.
