If you change your working place quite often and use numerous different devices (including mobile ones) having our settings and bookmarks automatically synchronized should be a number one priority. Synchronization feature is exactly what you need to have all your favourite things in one place. Let us take a look at how to do it in three most popular browsers: Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.

Enabling the automatic synchronization feature in browsers is certainly not complicated, but if you have problems with it, then our hints may be useful.
Firefox Sync stores all your data on Mozilla's servers, allowing you to synchronize the content of bookmarks, settings and other features on devices you have plugged in. To turn on that feature you have to open Firefox's menu and choose "Set Up Sync..."

You will see a new window where you can either create a new account or log into an existing one. Set up a new account by filling the questionnaire and providing Mozilla with our e-mail and a new password. Once you have created an account, Firefox will synchronize your files for the first time and save your data on Mozilla's servers.
If you want to have your synchronized data available on another device, you have to launch Firefox there, go to synchronization settings and in the configuration process choose "I already have an account". You will see a pairing code that you have to type in on the main device (the one you have created an account from).
To pair devices you have to go to the settings (Firefox>Options), then go to the Sync tab, click on "Pair a device" and insert a code displayed on a computer or a smartphone that you want to connect to Firefox Sync. From now on, your settings nad bookmarks will be automatically synchronized between the paired devices.
Synchronizing on Google Chrome is way easier than in case of Firefox. If you have logged into your Google account when launched Chrome for the first time, then all the data is automatically synchronized - all you have to do is to log into the same account on another computer, and all the bookmarks, extensions and settings will be synchronized.
But if you are not logged into your Google (Gmail) account, then all you have to do is to launch the menu with a button next to the address bar and then choose "Log into Chrome..."
You will see a new tab where you can log into your Google account. Once you have logged into your account, all the settings will be synchronized. You have to repeat the whole process on all the other devices.
Windows 8 users can synchronize their bookmarks, browsing history and other browser elements with their Microsoft accounts. Synchronization is done automatically, and all you have to do is to log into the system via you Microsoft account and not via a local account (you can check how you are logged in by browsing PC settings, in "Users" tab).
Later in computer settings you have to go to the "Settings synchronization" tab and make sure that "Browser" option is ticked on the list. The content of Internet Explorer 10 (and 11) will be automatically synchronized with your Microsoft account.
