I can't charge my laptop's battery anymore. When I plug in the charger it says "plugged and charging" but I can see that there's nothing more going on - no animation etc. If I try to turn on the laptop without plugging it in it doesn't work at all. After last format and system update it seemed to work for a while but now it's gone again. What can I do?
Read the following and obey ;-) 1. Turn off the laptop. 2. Unplug it. 3. Take out the battery. 4. Leave it like this for about 2 minutes. 5. Put the battery back in. 6. Plug the laptop. 7. Turn it on and check if it's charging.
if it doesn't help you may want to uninstall the battery controller's driver. Go to the Device Manager and find Battery group. Find Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, right-click on it and choose uninstall. When the icon of the battery disappears from the System tray (next to the clock) restart the PC. It should help.
