Is there any way to disable running apps in Windows?

From some time it takes longer and longer for my computer to startup. I think that this is because many applications hook into my Windows Startup process and automatically load up each time I start my computer. I know that some processes must run at startup like Anti-Virus or Firewall and I’m OK with it, but many are doing nothing more than taking up memory, cpu and prolonging my startup times. Can I disable them?

  1. Don’t worry, managing startup programs isn't very difficult, by taking a few steps, you can find out what is running on your computer and disable useless apps. This article should help you.
