How to Fix FPS Drops in Apex Legends. (Potential Memory Leak)

Taking screenshots in video games isn’t as popular as it used to be now that video streaming services like Twitch have captured the market. But there are still plenty of occasions where you may still want to or need to take an in-game screenshot. Generally, screenshots are stored in very similar locations for most games and aren’t all that difficult to find…. However… In Apex Legends you may be scratching your head wondering where they are.

Although the popularity of in-game screenshots has dropped off, taking a screenshot in-game is still one of the best ways to report players who are using exploits, cheating, griefing or just generally being assholes. In most games capturing a screenshot can be done by pressing the Prt Scr (Print Screen) key on the keyboard, however, in Apex Legends it’s set as F12 by default but can be changed to any key of your choice. Once you have captured a screenshot, finding it is an entirely different story, so follow along as we show you where to find Screenshots in Apex Legends.

Where Are Screenshots Saved/Stored in Apex Legends? Can’t Find Apex Legends Screenshots?

To find screenshots taken in Apex Legends, you will need open File Explorer and navigate to the following location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Apex\r2\screenshots

If you have installed Apex Legends in a different location on your computer, the start of this path will be somewhat different, so you will need to make adjustments for that. For example, if you have installed Apex Legends on your SSD, you may have to go to:

E:\Games\Origin Games\Apex\r2\screenshots

All screenshots will be captured in jpg format and it’s important to remember that screenshots taken from the main menus won’t save to this location and only in-game captures will be stored in this location. If you are trying to capture screenshots from the menus, you should set the game to Borderless Window Mode then use the Prt Scr (Print Screen) key and paste the captured screenshot into your image editing program, Paint, Photoshop, GIMP, etc. On a side note, one more thing you may like to consider doing is disabling the Apex Legends Splash Screen, aka the intro video.
