Antec Launches 750W EarthWatts Green PSU with 80PLUS Bronze Certification

Antec has expanded its product portfolio with another EarthWatts Green power supply unit which is rated at 750 Watts and targets users interested in building a high-performance system on a budget. The PSU has an 80PLUS Bronze energy efficiency certification, which means that its efficiency level can go up to 88% and that it won't drop under 81% no matter the load placed on the power supply. As far as its specifications are concerned, Antec has fitted the EA-750 Green with four 12V rails that are rated at 40A and have a maximum combined output of 750W or 62.5A. Users can connect a wide number of devices to Antec's PSU as this includes no less than four 8-pin (6+2) PCI Express connectors, nine SATA plugs, six MOLEX plugs as well as a 5V floppy connector. The EA-750 Green is Nvidia SLI and AMD CrossFireX certified, and comes with a full suite of industrial-grade protection circuitry. These include over current protection (OCP,) over voltage protection (OVP,) short circuit protection (SCP,) over power protection (OPP,) over temperature protection (OTP) and surge inrush protection (SIP) to prevent damage. Antec's power supply unit is cooled by a 135mm double ball bearing fan that Antec says it provides quiet operation under all circumstances. “The EarthWatts Green series is a dependable, quiet power supply line that costs less to operate than traditional designs,” said Christoph Katzer, director of Antec power supplies. “Enthusiasts and system integrators looking for a cost-effective power supply solution should look to the EA-750 Green – a PSU that lets users power their equipment, save money and help protect the environment, without skimping on quality and reliability,” concluded the company's rep. The Antec EA-750 Green power supply unit is available right now for an estimated price of $129.95.
