Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have just released a brand new hotfix for their Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 first person shooter, making some much needed adjustments to the power of some weapons while eliminating quite a lot of exploits that appeared on the Dome multiplayer level. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was released over a month ago and, since then, has amazed tens of millions of gamers from all over the world, managing to deliver one of the most popular shooter experiences of all time. This doesn’t mean that it was perfect, as players still found ways to cheat or exploit the system in the multiplayer mode, despite Infinity Ward’s best efforts to stop and punish them with bans or other sanctions. Now, the studio, together with Modern Warfare 3’s co-developer, Sledgehammer Games, has posted a brand new hotfix which should address some of the balancing issues that were spotted by players. The hotfix reduces the power of some weapons while eliminating quite a lot of exploits that appeared on the Dome map during the online modes of Modern Warfare 3. Check out all the things included in the hotfix below. Hot Fix Updates Fire rate normalization for Assault Rifles with undermounts FMG9 Re-balancing (Nerf) Akimbo FMG9 Re-balancing (Nerf) Fix for Shotgun's with Extended Mags (Prevents them from shooting more pellets than intended) Type95 Re-balancing (Nerf) - Reduce hipspread.
