It’s also one of the best places to share stuff with friends and make memorable and exciting playlists together. It has also just gained a pretty cool feature called Blend that lets you merge playlist together.

Blend on Spotify is a quick and easy way you can merge your playlists with that of your friends to create brand new mega playlists with all of your favourite songs. What’s most interesting about Blends is that you don’t need to have a paid account to use them. Any user/s can share and create Blended Playlists regardless of their account type, either paid or free.

For whatever reason Spotify only allows users to create Blend playlists using the Android and iOS apps, so make sure you have updated your Spotify app before starting the steps shown below. Putting it more accurately Spotify Blend basically merges your Liked song list with their liked song list to create a special playlist.

How do you create Blended Playlists on Spotify? Merge Spotify Playlists with your friends.

Note: You’ll need to repeat this process for each new person you want to create a Spotify Bend with.

When the person you have invited has accepted your request to create a Blend you will see a new playlist under the Blend section of the Only You section of the Spotify app. If you want them to appear on the web version of the app and have them saved as a proper playlist, you’ll need to tap the Follow icon. This will add the Blend playlist to your Spotify playlist list.

You can create as many blends as you like with as many people as you like, the only limitation is that each blend is locked to two people. Personally, I think that Spotify will probably allow you to add more people down the track, however for now it is what it is. You can also add or remove content from the Spotify Blend playlist simple use the icons to the right of the song entry.

How do you Remove, Leave, Delete Blends on Spotify?

If you want to get rid of a blend on Spotify, simply find the blend using the normal process then tap the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner and select Leave your Blend at the top of the list. This will remove the Spotify Blend from your account and the other person’s account. Just be aware you won’t get a confirmation notice, one tap and it’s gone.
