White List Your Phone IP in Windows Defender.

If Windows Defender is blocking access to your device you can white list your phone using its IP.

To find your Phone's IP address go to Settings > About Phone > Status Information. Here you can see your Phone's IP address. Copy it down because we'll need to use it shortly.

  • Now search Windows Defender Firewall and open it.
  • When you have it open click Inbound Rules > New Rule.
  • Now click Scope, then set it to These IP addresses:
  • Once you have added your phone's IP click next and complete the basic steps.
  • Repeat the same process for Outbound rules. It's basically the same.
