Tweak UI is a small application that lets you change some settings of your operating system. The user interface is rather basic and easy to use. It features a standard window and some options. It displays all the elements in a tree-like structure. Each item is briefly explained, so that you know exactly what are you going to change. There is no undo option, so be careful with your decisions.
There are multiple changes you can apply. For example, you can enable or disable beep on errors, cursor shadow, list box animation, menu animation, fading and selection facing, window animations, and hard disk optimization when the computer is idle to name a few. Plus, you can stop applications from stealing focus, change the size of the Alt+Tab window, and mouse speed.
What is more, it allows you to customize Explorer settings, such as shortcut overlay, colors, thumbnails as well as keyboard navigation keys. Last but not least, Tweak UI enables you to customize "My Computer" icons, AutoPlay settings, hide "Control Panel" extensions.
The application is not resource hungry and offers a brief descriptions for each element. However, the tool can be recommended to expert users, that want to configure Windows to own preferences.
